I would like to share one of the cheapest, easiest, most delicious and satisfying meals on the planet.  Cook up some vermicelli, according to the package (unless you’re adventurous and make yours fresh).  While you are waiting for the pasta to cook (fresh pasta, remember, only take a couple of minutes to cook) , pour 1/4 cup of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) into a medium sauce pan and add a full head of minced fresh garlic (yes I said a full head, not a clove).  After gently sauteing the garlic add about a tablespoon of oregano and a can of Dark Red Kidney Beans.  Let that simmer until the beans are slightly softened.  Reserve about 1 cup of the cooking liquid from the pasta and drain the vermicelli.  Mix the beans and pasta adding only enough reserved liquid to moisten.  Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and enjoy.

The hole is dug for the foundation for our new home.  I can visualize it standing there.  It will not be very big (1100 square feet), but will have enough room for occasional guests & family members.  There is going to be a huge family room 20′ x 22′ with a covered porch on three sides.  Sorry, no cathedral ceiling.  The ‘33′ will have it’s own room (garage).

My son is sooo cool.  He is helping me with this blog.  This week he had me sign up for www.Skype.com so I could see my gorgeous grandchildren and my very special soon to be D-I-L.  Skype is the best thing since french toast.  I highly recommend it.
